Catholic Schools Week turned out to be a huge success. We had a lot of fun activities to help celebrate the week. On Monday we had shoe -switch - aroo, Tuesday was halfway day, and Wednesday was beach day. Wednesday was also our Athlete's Mass at the Cathedral. Thursday we had our own mass at school. Friday was our Spirit Pep Rally. We announced our Senior Athletes as well as had a Battle of the sexes competition. The battle of the sexes competition consisted of Guitar Hero, Trivia, and Relay. Over all everyone enjoyed the week and paid tribute to Catholic Schools.

Santa came and our Christmas break is now over and were back in school. We are preparing for exams, seniors are receiving their college acceptance letters, getting ready for Winter Ball, and kids are already stirring about prom. Winter sports are underway and our girls and boys basketball teams are already finished their first tournament of the year. Life at KKCHS has been pretty exciting these past couple weeks. Were all looking forward to relaxing after exams.

On November 12, The American Red Cross came to Kennedy-Kenrick. After the nurses checked our iron and asked a series of questions, we were allowed to give blood. Many students took part in the blood drive and saved lives. On November 15, Kennedy Kenrick will hold its annual 8th Grade Visitation Day. Many grade schools will come to Kennedy Kenrick. They get to experience a day in the life of KK. After a pep ralley and a fun filled day, we show many 8th graders how awesome KK is. On the 16th, 17th, and 18th, Dinner Theatre will perform "Mixin' It Up". Brianna Ciccanti and Ben Secka are very excited to perform and many other KK students are excited to watch them sing and dance! There is no school Friday, so KK students have a long weekend. We had a busy week but it was fun!
The Kennedy Kenrick Dinner Theatre has made much progress! The nights of the show will be on November 16, 17, and 18! FACE's own Ben Secka and Brianna Ciccanti will be performing all three nights. The show includes dancing, singing, a Dinner to go along, and, best of all, solo performances by both of FACE's own Brianna Ciccanti and Ben Secka! Come see the show by calling Kennedy-Kenrick for ticket information!

There is always so much for everyone to get involved in at school, and this past week was amazing. First there were the freshman retreats. These give freshman and senoir students the opportunity to bond together, while building a relationship with God through example. Senior students would lead small discussion groups with the Freshman. Interacting with kids visibly helped them spiritually in a more personal way, especially because they can better relate to schoolmates rather than teachers. They also played games and ate together, and included a meditation period. On Friday, there was a prayer service for close friends and loved ones on ALl Soul's Day. It was respectful towards those who are deceased, and it was an event that the entire school could gather together in prayer.
THese kinds of events is what makes our school unique, and always building our faith in Christ Jesus both together as a community, as well as individually.
