Cardinal Rigali Appoints New President and Principal To Lansdale Catholic High School
His
Eminence, Cardinal Justin Rigali, Archbishop of Philadelphia has
appointed Mr. James W. Casey as the fourth President of Lansdale
Catholic and Mr. Timothy P. Quinn as its fourteenth Principal,
effective immediately.
Mr. Casey has served
since 1990 at Lansdale Catholic as the school's Director of
Institutional Advancement and Alumni Affairs. He has also overseen all
aspects of school's marketing and recruiting efforts. During his 18
years at LC, he has served on various committees for the Archdiocese of
Philadelphia and is currently a member of the Building Committee for
the new high school in Hilltown, scheduled to open in September 2012.
He is a 1974 graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School and 1978
graduate of Spring Garden College. He also has an Advanced Certificate
in NonProfit Management Excellence from the NonProfit Center of LaSalle
University. He and his wife Rosemary have three sons and reside in
Cheltenham, PA. They are active members of Presentation BVM Parish in
Cheltenham.
Mr. Quinn is a 1995 graduate of Lansdale Catholic High School. This
fall he begins his tenth year of service as an educator and
administrator in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. He has served as the
Assistant Principal for Student Services at Lansdale Catholic since
2004. In this role, he has provided oversight of the school's guidance,
health, and attendance programs, as well as student discipline. Prior
to his return to Lansdale Catholic, Mr. Quinn was a teacher at St.
Hubert Catholic High School and the head football coach at Northeast
Catholic High School, which are both located in Philadelphia. Mr. Quinn
has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from
Delaware Valley College and a Master of Science in Educational
Leadership from St. Joseph's University. He and his wife Katie are
active members of St. Stanislaus Parish, and are expecting their fifth
child very soon.
"These are exciting and forward looking times for LC," said Mr. Casey.
"We have wonderful parents who support our school in many ways and
along with the support of our alumni; this promises to be the beginning
of a great time for LC."
"I look forward to continue working with our loyal and dedicated
faculty and staff," said Mr. Quinn. "As we continue to follow our
mission of 'teaching values for life', we also will pursue new academic
initiatives as we focus on our opening of the Hilltown site in
September 2012."
